So I'm a LITTLE behind on posting a Christmas update, but better late than never right?
This is the first Christmas that I wouldn't be at home for the holiday, but we put up our ghetto tree anyway and hung our stockings so we could enjoy them for a few weeks before...
We flew to the most beautiful place on earth :)
On Christmas eve morning, eleven of us boarded the plane and we flew to Cancun, Mexico then drove south about 70 miles to the Dreams Tulum all-inclusive resort. Oh my it was fantastic! We spent the week there and were spoiled rotten with food, entertainment, ocean, exploring, and of course the best of company!
Here are just a few pictures of the millions that we took!
The food... what can I say... being pregnant + all-inclusive restaurants and buffets for 5 days may result in one large baby...we all ate well and more than we should have, but boy was it fun!
A bunch of us took turns holding the parrots on the resort. This pic was my favorite!
Naturally Santa and his elves were there!
On Christmas morning we opened stockings that everyone had helped stuff. Matt and I stuffed the stockings with staches :) We had some fun with them.
The sand volleyball was definitely a highlight!
Matt was in seafood heaven! They caught a giant swordfish and cooked it right up on the beach... I think it was the highlight of his trip.
We visited the Tulum ruins which were awesome!
After seeing the ruins, we ran down to the beach at Tulum and played in the ocean. This was my favorite! The sand was like carpet and the waves were huge. We had such a blast.
We spent an afternoon shopping at Playa De Carmen.
It was definitely a little different not being in the snowy cold Idaho for Christmas, but we decided it was a good different! We had such a fun vacation and loved spending the week with the family! It was great to have such an awesome vacation before our little munchkin comes :) How lucky are we!
