It was just like old times...

when we used to spend every other day playing dress-up and having sleepovers at Grandpa and Grandma Walker's house. This weekend I decided that I missed that, and I bet grandma did too, so Brandon and I hopped in the car and headed to my grandparent's house for the weekend. I think it's been a while since they had visitors, so they were delighted to have us there. Grandma was so excited to have someone to play with! I've never played so many hands of mormon rook and phase ten. We even got grandpa out of his chair and away from the TV to play with us. Boy, I never have to question where we Walker's get our competativeness from... Grandma was trying to cheat by confusing Grandpa, we constantly heard her saying "Now Owen, you want to put down that Wild so I can pick it up on my next turn! You listen to me, I need that Wild card!" and Grandpa kept gettin after me for "dealing him garbage." He even told Grandma not to give me any dinner because I didn't let him win... but besides being competative, they were being hilarious! Brandon and I have never laughed so hard. Grandpa kept clasping his hands and praying for the right cards as we played rook, and then Grandma forgot to put the lid on the popcorn popper so when we glanced over there was popcorn flying EVERYWHERE. It was too funny. It was such an enjoyable weekend, and I think Grandma and Grandpa appreciated the company. They are such good people and have raised such good kids, which means I'm fortunate enough to have some of the best parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and siblings in the world!

I miss the good 'ol days playing Rook with Grams & Gramps. They are such amazing people and we're so lucky to have them as our grandparents. I'm envious that you can go see them anytime you want. I need to take a trip out west and make sure i go visit them.

Miss you guys!
