4th of July

I was quite homesick this day because my FAVORITE family traditions take place on this holiday... and this is the first year I wasn't there. But my sweet, patient, loving husband did all he could to make it fun and festive! We had a good time. The night before the 4th there is a big air show and then the fireworks. So we enjoyed laying out on the lawn and watching the air show as the sun went down and then the bright fireworks against the night sky. There is just something so fun about fireworks!

On the actual 4th, we had a big breakfast at our Branch President's home, and then we spent the afternoon canoing with a few friends. It was a fun, hot day! We are so blessed to live in this country; grateful we had a day off to celebrate and spend time together!
