Well my pictures aren't exactly in order, but I don't have time to rearrange them :) Matt and I waited 2 weeks after we got married to go on a honeymoon (he had to finish out the semester.) I'm so glad we did, because it allowed us a 2 week vacation! We were spoiled to go on a cruise and then visit Matt's sister and mom in Florida. We had an amazing time. Here's a little picture recap:
Our first stop was Jamaica.. it was pouring rain the whole time! I thought maybe they would cancel our excursions.. but nope. Off we went up the muddy mountain in the tiny bus around winding corners haha That was the biggest thrill ride of the whole trip.. kinda scary actually.
First we went ziplining. It was SO fun, I loved it.
Then we hopped on tubes and floated down the white river. We were cracking up the whole time... only on vacation do you go tubing in the pouring rain! It wasn't too cold, but we were a little chilled and ready to get out by the end of it :) Here's our cruise ship.
Our second stop was the Grand Caymen. We first kayaked.
And then snorkeled.
Back in Florida, we stayed with Matt's mom for a few days in the Keys. We rode our backs to Sombrero beach several times because it's just around the corner.
This is Brenda. She is a friend of Matt's family and works at a little resteraunt in Marathon, FL. We visited her and she gave us a deep fried key lime pie. It was hands down the best thing I've experienced in... ever. I know, I'm being dramatic, but it was really that good. I'd fly back to Florida just to get my hands on one of those again.
We visited another beach called Bai Honda. It was really pretty and we spent alot of time snorkeling and collecting sea shells to decorate our bathroom :) haha I'm new to the snorkeling/ocean/SWIMMING thing, so Matt was kind enough to bring this nice floaty along.. then he laughed at me and took ridiculous pictures.
The keys are all connected by the longest bridges- it's really cool.
We fed tarpons and pelicans at Robbies.
This is the southern most point in the U.S. (Down in Key West)
Eating gellato on Duvall Street in Key West
Back at Matt's mom's place, they have a dock and canal for a backyard. We caught a few little ones off the dock.
Mike and Cora took us to Disneyworld!
So goofy.
We visited Miami beach while we were there.
My husband has 2 personalites. One day he is a cowboy and the next he's a Miami man :)
This is leaving Miama off to the Carribean. We loved watching movies out on the deck of the ship and eating free ice-cream.
Spent some nights in the hot tub on the ship as well.
Dining was always really fun on the ship. One night coming back from dinner, we had a "Happy Honeymoon" cake in our room :)
This was on the bus ride in Jamaica (see, my pictures are really outta order now)
And the blue Caymen.
