Odds n' Ends

Opening presents and saying our goodbyes til next semester (to Wuendy, not Kaylie :) I love these two, we have fun times together!

There was chaos at Temple Square due to Archuleta's guest appearance with the Motab Choir. We left our hotel 2 hours early to walk over to the conference center and find masses of people gathered around trying to find their way inside! Boy I can't blame em', the concert was SPECTACULAR. In the words of Aunt Rhonda, David is "irresistable." Couldn't have said it better myself. haha His voice is truly angelic.

I was so happy to see the lights on Temple Square! I hadn't been there since high school, and had almost forgotten how magical and beautiful it is. This past weekend in Salt Lake was a great way to start off the week of Christmas. The beautiful music, lights, and family were such a treat.

Now tomorrow is Christmas and I'm excited! I made these today to cook in the morning for breakfast. I always wanted to start a tradition with my own little family someday of warm cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning... and since I've yet to embark on the whole husband and family dream, I decided to make them for my family of adult siblings. haha Maybe this will finally be "our last Christmas together" ha It's a joke. We say it every year. But who knows what a new year could bring. Cross your fingers :) I love my family, and I'm glad we can be together. My heart has been so full this week and I keep tearing up every time I think about the Savior and how His atonement allows us to have joy and hope in this life. I feel so grateful for a Heavenly Father that would send his perfect son Jesus Christ to be born, and to live and then die for us. I love to picture Mary, Joseph, the angels, shepherds, and wise men all gathered around a little baby Jesus, so perfect and pure. I love that we can have a special celebration of His birth at this special time of year. It's wonderful to reflect on the past year and remember what matters most. Merry Christmas!
