Happy Holidays!

Ah I love this time of year :) Since I've been a slacker blogger (a.k.a. really busy student), I'm going to make a massive post of the recent happenings, which happen to revolve around holidays.

I mentioned I had a birthday! Yep, consider it a holiday. haha But here's a picture to go with it. Notice the amazing fresh peach pie. Ooohh--weeee it's my favorite.

Next, Halloween rolled around. Not sure why it's considered a holiday, but we made the most of it :) I love to make sugar cookies, so holidays are a perfect excuse. I tried some fun new candy corn sugar cookies, aren't they cute? Got the idea from this great website. We spent Halloween (Eve) at a big dance in I.F. We danced like crazies for hours. It was super fun.

Now we have a whole week off for Thanksgiving! What a blessing indeed. I decided to kick off the break with a trip to Utah. Bryan and I drove down to spend some time with Jamie and Mark. We got to go to a Jazz game which was lots of fun!

It was a pretty scary ride home from Utah with all the snow and slick roads that have hit us! But we sure had some fun with it today. My roommate Wuendy is staying with us for the week (Ya, Walker overload, pretty sure she thinks we're crazy! Maybe cuz we are.) But Wuendy has never been sledding, so we went today! It's been at least two years since I've actually been sledding and we had such a blast.

Brandon and I also enjoyed jumping into the snow drifts. It was so deep!

It's already been a fun break, and it's just going to get better as more family comes!

In other news, after this week, there is only about 2 1/2 weeks of the semester left! Unbelievable how fast it went by. It's been awesome tho. I love learning. I recently recieved news that I got accepted to do my practicum next semester in the elementary school. That means I get to run the afterschool program for 3-4 graders about 8 hours a week. I'm SO excited! Each semester just gets better.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll have more holiday happenings to post later!
