Catch Up!

This blog has been sorely neglected in the past few months... I'm not sure anyone has been suffering from my lack of posts. haha But I figure it's time for an update. One of the main reasons I haven't been posting on this blog is because I've had to start another blog as one of my class projects. It's a blog dedicated to issues regarding family. It's rather amateur right now; a work in progress I guess you could say. But you are welcome to check it out! And if you felt really nice you could even leave comments haha It is located at www.togetherfamilies.weebly.com

So besides that, here what I've been up to.

1. I started another semester of college. As a matter of fact... it's one of the few I have left :( I didn't even realize before meeting with an academic advisor that I can graduate in two more semesters. That puts my graduation date at July 2011. Holy toledo lets not even think about that! Feelings concerning finishing college could be a post of their own. I'll just ignore it and enjoy every moment I have left. I'm loving this semester. I love my classes and what I'm studying. All my studies are based on human development, families, marriage, etc. I love knowledge, it's so empowering and I'm gaining so much here at school.

2. I moved out of my house for another round of apartment and roommate experiences :) Boy was I fortunate to end up where I am. I love my roommates, they are exceptional. There is so much more than academic knowledge to be gained; the experiences I have daily shape me and will leave a lasting impression. My roommate that I actually share my room with is becoming one of my dearest friends. Since we met, I knew that it wasn't a matter of coincidence that I'm here. There are so many lessons that I've learned from her. She is changing my view on life as I've learned to see the world through her eyes. We are as opposite as they come; we come from very different backgrounds, and I couldn't be more grateful for the chance that I have to learn and grow from her. Living here has already presented me with opportunities to grow, and to serve other's as well. I really think I'm where I'm supposed to be, and that's a peaceful feeling.

3. I had another birthday! 21 feels like a great age... how bout I just freeze here :) Thanks to awesome family and friends, my birthday was so fun. It fell on General Conference weekend which made it even better! I love counsel from the brethren (and women in the church). It was great.

4. Kaylie and I have started going to a Zumba class 2-3 times a week. Oh boy, do I love it! It's invigorating both physically and mentally. I love dancing, and I love working out- so combining the two couldn't be more fun. Kaylie just laughs at me cuz I really let loose haha Good times.

I'm sure there is more I could write about, but I'm short on time. In a nutshell- life is busy, sorta hectic and challenging, but invigorating and exhillerating at the same time. Bottom line is, I'm really blessed. And I'm grateful for it!
