Reflections on a new apartment:

Kaylie and I decided to move out for the spring semester... rather spur of the moment... but everything worked out beautifully and we now share a small one bedroom apartment! I've only been here two days but I already love everything about it. And in those two short days, I've already learned OODLES of things! For example:

- Bunkbeds should have an age restriction, especially insanely un-sturdy bunkbeds. I'm getting too old to climb up and down without hurting myself.

- You can buy many good-enough-for-what-they're-for utinsels and appliances at the dollar store.
- Kaylie shares my phobia of a closed shower curtain. (It must remain open when not in use.)
- My ward rocks!
- You need hot pads to bake a cake... (I was sure I had everything I needed, until the timer went off...)
- The people dowstairs are quick to react when they think our music is too loud.
- If I kneel up in my bed, I'll hit my head on the ceiling.
- If you don't have chips to eat with your sandwhich, popcorn makes a great crunchy substitute.
- My legs hang off the top bunk, I guess they are longer than I thought.
- Don't laugh at someone for having a big green lettuce piece stuck in their teeth when you have one in yours too.
- Whenever Kaylie moves in her bed, it sways my top bunk back and forth...
- Swaying makes me dizzy!
- The locals assigned to my ward are my old neighbors from the ward I grew up in!
- It's much easier to share food with your sister than your roommates.
- 2 wardrobes is much better than 1.
- Kaylie and I are capable of being so ridiculous that we can stay up all night laughing/snorting/crying/wheezing, etc.
- Rooms/bathrooms are never built with a sufficiant # of electrical outlets.
- I can whack Kaylie with my pillow from my bunk, but she can't reach me :)
- Leave the dinner table when your laughter causes you to cry/stop breathing/or shoot stuff out your nose.
- And most importantly, I've learned that Heavenly Father directs my paths because I know I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be, and I'm so grateful to be here.
