Here's a Christmas present to you all... you will want to try these, they are unlike any others.
SOFT Sugar Cookies
3 c. flour
1c. Shortening
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Cut shortening into flour mix. Mix together eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Add this to flour mixture. Roll out to 1/4 inch and make cut out cookies. Bake at 350 for 8 min.

Second: I heard about your sugar cookies. My neighbor came to me and said, "I know someone who's sugar cookies rival yours. Melanee brought us some and they are to die for! These are possibly the best sugar cookies I have ever had!" Keep in mind this neighbor LOVES and LIVES for sugar cookies, so that was a high compliment to you.... thanks for including this recipe. I will have to try it.
