It's true. I'm quitting my job at the Murph! It's been a good almost 3 years that I've worked at Papa Murphy's, and it was not easy for me to turn in my two weeks notice. It probably sounds silly that I'm being sappy over quitting my job at a pizza place, but the murph isn't just a pizza place, it was my second home. Like for reals. I have loved my job for many reasons...here are a few:1. I got to work in a kitchen setting, and that's one of my favorite places to be!
2. I always had a friend at work and it was refreshing to go their after my drama filled days at school - work was chill and everyone was kind.
3. I worked with some of my very best friends at the murph. I got paid to work with my best friends... how cool is that?
4. My manager was incredibly flexible, accomodating, and paid me very well.
5. Have I ever mentioned that my favorite food is pizza?
Okay so their is a glimpse at the fabulous job I have had. I think we will all greatly miss it. When I say we, I mean my family (who now won't know what to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) my grandparents and aunts (who loved to call and order "specialized pizzas") the ward mission leader (a.k.a my dad who took a pizza to each new family in the ward) etc.
I have had some good times at that place and love everyone I have been able to meet and work with there!

So now you might be wondering... if I love my job so much, why the heck am I quitting? Well that's the second part of my post :) I had been considering a new job for a while, but had never really found anything to replace this one... until a few weeks ago. I received a phone call from the reading coach at Adams Elementary School and she offered me a job! Just some quick background: towards the end of my senior year I spent each morning at this school working in the classrooms with 1st graders and kindergarteners, at that time I was doing it for school credit, and loved every minute of it!
Well, starting on Monday, I will go back to being "Miss Walker," but this time I'll be making some mulah while doing it. I get to work with the second grade in the computer lab, and run centers in the kindergarten classroom, and occassionally do some lunch and recess duty. haha I'm so excited! They are being very accomodating with my school schedule in the fall, and now besides studying Child Development, I'll also be getting hands-on experience each day at the school. I love being around children and feel so lucky to have this opportunity right at the time I was in need of a new job. So regardless of my good times at the Murph, I can't wait to start a new chapter of working experience!

That would be fabulous if you get to work with Adam in Kindergarten! I will tell him to watch for you.
(Remember all those years ago when I worked at Kennedy... back when YOU went there? Can you believe that much time has gone by? You'll love working with all the little kids. You'll get a gazillion hugs each day cuz I KNOW the kids will LOVE you!!)
I hope you see this, since it is from a while ago...but dang, Conner is cute! But I agree with Jenna..sick tounge...we actually always made fun of him because his tounge was little and when he went to stick it out, it actually was so short that it went straight down-too little to stick out. But he got that surgery that I am sure he told you about that made it not so tight. Ahh, sad about the murph...But good fro you for changing. It's hard!
